Other Important Information
What should I bring on Race Day?

As a runner, you should bring any items that you require to successfully complete a half marathon or 5K, including appropriate footwear, clothing, hydration, and nutrition.  We will have 10 water stations located at regular intervals along the course for the half marathon.  The 5K race will be on the same route, so appropriate water stations will be available as well.  It is strongly recommended that you bring your own hydration for the race.  Furthermore, our vendors and other sponsors will have items available for purchase after the race for you to browse.  

Will there be locations to park?

Yes.  In downtown, there are two parking garages available, as well as several surface lots and on street parking.  If you are running the 5K, you should be prepared to finish approximately 60-90 minutes before most of the half-marathon runners, so if you do not intend to stay through the end of our event, you should park accordingly.  Many parking locations along the race route will be closed after the event begins and you will not be able to leave until the close of the event if you are parked in those locations.  For more information and a downloadable map, please see "The Day" page.

How can I pick up my race packet?

Packet pickup will be available approximately two (2) days prior to the race at the Law Offices of Messer & Messer, located at 1555 St. Lucie West Blvd., N.W., Suite 202 in St. Lucie West.  A runner wishing to pick up their packet early may do so during regular business hours.  Additionally, runners are invited to pick up their packets at our Pre-Race & Packet Pickup Party at Archie's Seabreeze located on A1A in Fort Pierce on January 13, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.  Lastly, packets may be picked up the morning of the race.  Included within your packet will be your race bib with time chip, safety pins, your T-shirt, and other great giveaways and sponsor materials.

What if the weather is bad?

It will only add to the fun.  We are running the race, rain or shine.  But fear not, we've spoken to the Rain Gods, and rest assured, it is going to be a glorious morning!

How can I get involved?

Several ways.  This is our second year of organizing a half-marathon in St. Lucie County, and we'd like it to be a rousing success.  Tentative plans are being made to bring a regular series of races to our county, all with the goal of raising money for local, state, national, and worldwide charities.  We welcome suggestions on how we can make our race better, what parts you enjoyed, what parts you didn't, future themes for races, or joining with us at the Lions Club to further our mission to serve our community.  If you wish to be involved in the planning of future races, please contact us and tell us how to get you involved!
